The ESLAN Polytechnic Portal offers access to free and almost free courses, certificates and diploma programs for Canada's northern communities and Indigenous Peoples. ESLAN removes the barriers of distance and affordability when it comes to empowering inquisitive minds through knowledge in Canada's North. Whether an individual wishes to learn for personal interest, work towards improving their employment or business opportunities, or are already an established professional looking to keep up to date, ESLAN can help.

Through partnerships, alliances and affiliate arrangements, ESLAN is a gateway to some of the world's leading institutions, colleges and universities. ESLAN provides access to courses and programs in fields such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics, computers, business and psychology, plus many more. ESLAN also offers internationally recognized professional certification programs for those in the electronics industry through the Electronics Technicians Association International (ETAI).

Created by Dr. Robert Ing to address the challenges of accessibility to, and affordability in education options for Canada's northern communities, the ESLAN Polytechnic Portal serves 54 communities in Canada's North across the Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, providing access to world class subject matter from leading colleges, universities and institutions. In providing this portal not only are the options for education in Canada's northern communities enhanced but also an opportunity is provided for many of the world's educational institutions and educators to gain exposure and insight into a greater understanding of Canada's northern communities and its people.
